“Having a hard time wrapping my head around  @adamlevine not being at@NBCTheVoice anymore,” Blake wrote. “After 16 seasons that changed both of ours lives. I only found out about this yesterday and it hasn’t set in on me yet. Gonna miss working with that idiot.”

Blake and Adam were the only two OG’s left. They both started the show when it began in 2011 alongside coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. The two formed an extremely close relationship becoming BFF’s. However, the relationship was a love/hate relationship and the two fought, joked and insulted each other every season, leaving fans laughing. The banter between Blake and Adam is part of what made the show such a success. It will be interesting to see how Blake responds as the show continues.

While the “God’s Country” singer  will miss his best buddy on the show, he has another “friend” coming to take his place. His girlfriend Gwen Stefani will be filling Adam’s shoes as coach for season 17.

The couple met when Gwen was a coach on season 7 and sparks flew. Both Gwen and Blake were going through public divorces at the time and found solace in each other. They have been going strong for almost 4 years.

This will be the fourth season that Gwen will be a coach.
