Darius Rucker Brings Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Lady A’s Charles Kelley Along For a Wild West Night In “Straight To Hell” Video

There’s something just innately fun about a country music collaboration. Regardless of the song, witnessing the chemistry between incredible talents that makes it exciting. And the chemistry between Darius Rucker and his pals Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley in the new video for “Straight to Hell” is absolutely undeniable.

The video may have hit outlets on Friday, June 8, but the buzz has been building since Darius began teasing us with photos on his socials in May.

At his own “Darius & Friends” event on Monday (June 4) in Nashville, the singer-songwriter was pretty tight-lipped when it came to sharing details of the mini-movie, but he couldn’t hold back his blinding smile when we asked him about it. “It’s going to be fun,” he told One Country laughing. “It’s going to be fun.”

Finally, Darius is letting us in on the amount of fun was referring to, with the release of the new star-studded video.

Dressed in prohibition-era western wear, and enjoying the games and libations at a back alley juke joint, this quad squad swaps verses and unite in a rousing sing-along chorus. Of course, the shenanigans aren’t without peril, and when the law shows up, everyone scrambles for cover…except our fearless foursome. They, instead, finish their drinks, clean the winnings from the table and the cash register, and escape with grins on their faces.

And did you catch the Hootie and the Blowfish reference in the password?

Fun? Oh, most definitely. But it is also a stand-out track at country radio. At a time when pop-infused, high-gloss production music dominates radio airwaves, “Straight to Hell” is a jangly, honky-tonk jam that promises to be part of the beach and barroom soundtrack for summer.
