Surprise guests are one of the coolest parts of going to concerts, and country stars never fail to disappoint us with who they’ll share the stage with. Whether it’s pulling an excited little fan onto the stage or welcoming a fellow country artist, it’s always a fun highlight of the show. Fans at Dierks Bentley’s recent hometown stop in Nashville saw him bring Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, and Thomas Rhett to the spotlight, but it was his daughter, Evie, that really stopped the show.
Performing “Travelin’ Light,” from his current album, The Mountain, Dierks assumed his part of the tune while 10-year-old Evie confidently stepped up to the mic to sing Brandi Carlile’s part…but, not before a little flossing.
With her adoring dad looking on, Evie seemed to be unfazed by the thousands of others who packed the arena, and almost seemed as casual as if she were singing in her own living room.
And hold the door! Not only does this young lady have great projection, but she also has pretty solid pitch and an effortless vibrato that has to have Dierks and his wife, Cassidy, thinking there may be another little star in the family.
Of course, immediately following a final floss and a roar of applause, Dierks sent Evie home to go to bed.
