George Strait is bringing some country twang to his latest single, “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar,” the latest track from his upcoming album, Honky Tonk Time Machine, due out March 30.
Written by George, George’s son Bubba Strait and Dean Dillon, “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar” finds the King of Country singing about all the things that happen in every little honky tonk bar. Something many of us are all to familiar with.
“Friday night, it’s a given / We’ll be L-I-V-N, livin’ / We’ll dance on the bar ’til we’re sleeping it off in the car / Monday morning, it’s a given / We’ll be D-R-A-G-N, draggin’ / And that’s what happens in every little honky tonk bar,” George sings in the chorus.
The new single is one of eight songs that George wrote on his forthcoming album. The 12-track album will contain all original songs, plus George covering Johnny Paycheck’s classic “Old Violin.” George recently released his first single, “Código,” from the new album.
In addition to the new music, George can be found performing at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on March 30, Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on June 8, and as part of his “Strait to Vegas” Las Vegas residency at T-Mobile Arena on August 23 and 24, as well as Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on November 22 and 23.
Fans who pre-order a digital copy of the album now will receive the new tune as well as “God and Country Music” instantly.
