7. Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton is one of the most charitable celebrities in the world. Her work spans across nine charities and 12 causes touching everything from blad eagle preservation (for which she received the Partnership Award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) to childhood literacy. Her Imagination Library is one of the leading advocates for childhood literacy and education in the country. In 2017, Dolly earmarked over $3 million from her My People Fund to aid recovery efforts from a fire in Gatlinburg, TN. She initially gave $10,000 to over 900 families and has since established the Mountain Tough Recovery Team to continue to help those affected by the Smoky Mountain wildfires.
