Kelly began the song praising Lady Gaga, and sharing how she is inspired by and a fan of the pop singer. She latter told the crowd that Lady Gaga was one of the only artists that ever wrote her a letter saying thanks for letting her open. Now, that’s class.

During the “A Minute and a Glass of Wine” segment for Kelly’s webseries, the 36-year-old went on to share her love of the song she was about to perform.

“This song, I love it. It’s from the movie that she’s nominated for a billion awards for. I hope she wins, Kelly said prior to the performance.  “I thought that she and Bradley Cooper did such an awesome job with this song, it’s called “Shallow.” So we’re gonna do our version of it because I don’t have Bradley Cooper here. So I’m just like holdin’ it down. I hope I don’t suck and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it.”
