There is no one out there more focused on ‘keeping it real’ than Kelly Clarkson. So it’s no surprise that the music star is out there speaking her truth in light of her recent 37-pound weight loss that has brought with it a barrage of questions about the change in her appearance.

During a recent co-hosting gig alongside Today’s Hoda Kotb, Clarkson cleared up some of the misconceptions about the weight loss, including the accusations that she might have gotten some work done.

“I wish I could do that,” Clarkson said, denying that she had any Botox whatsoever. “I’m afraid of it. I mean, I have friends that get it done. I mean, I look at my forehead and I see the lines. I’m just going to own it.”

Instead, Clarkson said that she has benefitted from some of the direction provided by the book “The Plant Paradox” by Steven Gundry, which helped her conquer an autoimmune disease and thyroid disorder that she has been battling for years.

“I’m going to be real with you,” adds Clarkson of her new clean-eating philosophy when it comes to food. “It’s really expensive to do. I wish the government would really back humanity on this.”

So, is she working out too?

“I don’t work out,” she laughed. “I mean, you should because your heart and stuff, but I do wine instead.”

Like we said…keeping it real.
