The son of peanut farmer, Luke Bryan had plans to leave the farm and move to Nashville to pursue a music career after graduating high school. However, at the age of 19 Luke lost his brother in a car accident, keeping him home with family. In 2007 when Luke did make it to Nashville he tried his hand at songwriting, penning Billy Currington’s No. 1 hit “Good Directions” and signing a record deal for himself. He saw success with his first single “All My Friends Say,” when it reached the Top 5 on the charts. He followed that up with “Do I,” which hit the No. 2 spot and “Rain Is a Good Thing,” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby,” kicking off a slew of consecutive No. 1 hits, which continues today.
