Congratulations are in order for Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd who tied the knot on Saturday (March 24) at a ceremony in Nashville.
The bride took to Instagram to post the first wedding photo with the caption that read, “My last turn home.” The caption references a song of the same name that Maren and Ryan co-wrote, which Tim McGraw cut. The song is about a man returning home to the arms of a loved one.
According to People, Maren wore a custom-made dress by Nashville designer Cavanagh Baker which was short in the front with a long train in the back. Ryan was decked out in a royal blue suit.
The Texas native revealed to “Ty Kelly and Chuck Mornings” that her wedding dress would be inspired by her mother’s dress. “My mom had a really cool dress in the ’80s… it was a short wedding dress. Her friend from hair school made it. I loved that she did that, because she couldn’t really afford much and I just thought she looked so cool,” she said.
Ryan proposed to Maren last summer with a special custom engagement ring for his fiancée. “I know what she likes and I had somebody in Canada put it together. The stone is from New York City, it’s from an uncut diamond, and then the rest of it’s cast just custom for her. I couldn’t just buy something. I had to make it something that fit her,” Ryan said of the ring.
Congratulations to the happy couple.
