Miranda Lambert wrapped up her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour last month, before picking up her sixth straight CMA Female Vocalist of the Year trophy and she went out with a bang. A bang of light.

To sing a cover of Foy Vance’s “Shed a Little Light,” Miranda enlisted her friends and tourmates to form some kind of much-needed, soulful, Gospel choir of country music. Ashley Monroe, Clare Dunn, Patty Loveless, Courtney Cole, Angaleena Presley and Gwen Sebastian took on different parts of the song, sang background and basically– they shed a little light.

With lyrics like this:

They say that love is hard to find

I sure found it hard to find mine

Though love walked right up to my face

She said you can only love

what you’d die for baby

Shed a little light so I can find you

Don’t let darkness hide you from my face

Shed a little light so I can find you

I’d surely die for your embrace

It’s hard not to give Miranda what she wants– a little light.

Miranda is heading out on the road with Kenny Chesney in 2016.
