Taylor Swift has proven that you just never know where she’s going to pop up, so even though they promoted her appearance with Brandon Urie on NBC’s The Voice, it still seemed a bit of a sweet surprise.
Taylor and Brandon hit the colorful stage during the grand finale for season 16 of the hit reality competition show to perform their new single, “Me,” the first from Tay’s upcoming album…which we know nothing about.
In her fun and mysterious way, the bubbly beauty is keeping much under wraps about the release of her next project, including title, release date, and additional songs. But it’s OK because it just keeps us getting more and more excited about all of the surprises that will accompany that release.
Because you know there will be.
Back to The Voice though, Taylor and Brandon were supported by a squad of dancers and a giant paillette sequin-dotted butterfly that helped turn the show’s stage into a mini Swiftie celebration. Explosions of light, pyrotechnics, and color gave the set a fun, psychedelic vibe and electric energy, and made Taylor’s bedazzled pink frock sparkle like glitter.
Taylor and Brandon were just one of the performances that punctuated the night that gave John Legend his first victory as a coach on The Voice. In fact, his winner, Maelyn Jarmon, could be a future peer or possible duet partner for Taylor.
