A lot has changed for Thomas Rhett over the last year, including the addition of two daughters, Ada James and Willa Gray.

Ahead of the 2018 CMT Music Awards, Thomas Rhett sat down with Hoda Kotb and her guest co-host Blake Shelton to talk about life as a family of four.

He started by explaining that tours look a lot different now than they did last year— instead of throwing back drinks, he’s reading bedtime stories.

“Last year it was like, go hang, make a drink and play a show and this one it’s like, tuck one in, read “Goodnight Moon” to the other and potentially walk on stage with pee on your finger.”

Sounds like he’s speaking from experience on that one.

He then went on to discuss he and wife Lauren’s journey to adopt Willa and how they went from zero to two kids within two months. Whew!
