2. “Break Up In The End” // Cole Swindell
Cole has done it again, finding his next No. 1 hit, which could make it 8 for him. While “Break Up in the End” is a breakup song, it’s a feel good breakup song. So many times breakups end badly, and there is so much anger. And as Tom Crusie says in “Cocktail,” “Everything ends badly, otherwise, it would never end.” Not true, and Cole proves that with a wistful tune about looking back on a past relationship in a good light. If nothing else, “Breakup” will have you remembering the good times and there’s nothing wrong with that.
