As we near the end of 2014, it’s only fitting that Country Outfitter Style shares a few of those classic, end of the year lists with you. But, we’re kind of bored with the typical end of the year lists, so we’re putting our own spin on a few!

2014 was jam-packed with incredible music. Any year that features Kacey Musgraves wearing light up boots, Miranda and Carrie singing together and a field party thrown by Brantley, TR and Justin is bound to be good, but what were the best songs about a place during 2014? After all, the best songs tend to sweep you off of your feet and transport you to a whole other realm.

The 9 Best Songs About a Place 2014:

  • Dierks Bentley brought in GRAMMY-winner Kacey Musgraves to sing about Kentucky’s favorite export, bourbon, and the result was a slam dunk.
  • How can you not include “Sweet Amarillo,” when Bob Dylan is listed as a co-writer?
  • Dolly Parton is only getting better with age and honestly, who doesn’t want to go “Home” with her?
