After taking the country music scene by storm with her debut single, “Make Him Wait,” Abby Anderson is speeding thing sup with her latest release, “Dance Away My Broken Heart.”
Written by powerhouses Kelsea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Ashley Gorley and Jesse Frasure, “Dance Away My Broken Heart” is a hypnotic dance tune that will make heartbreak seem like a thing of the past.
The upbeat, toe-tapping tune is the second offering from the Texas native that finds her singing about putting her breakup drama in the past and getting on with life.
“Yeah, tonight I’m gonna dance away my broken heart / My broken heart, like I never even loved him / Throw my hands up when the music starts / Shake off these scars / Like he ain’t got nothing left on me / Gonna find a new rhythm till I forget him / Gonna move on till the memory fades / Yeah, tonight I’m gonna dance away my broken heart / My broken heart, oh woah,” she sings in the chorus.
The country newcomer is just getting started with two releases under her belt. Abby will be making her Grand Ole Opry debut on Sept. 8 and then hit the road with Brett Eldredge as part of his The Long Way Tour, kicking off Sept. 13 in Denver.
After receiving the invitation to perform on the Opry, Abby took to Instagram to share her feelings about the honor.
“Honored and humbled to say that today I was asked to make my Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday September 8th,” she posted. “THANK YOU THANK YOU @opry FOR THE BEST CRY I HAVE EVER HAD!!!”
Stay tuned. There’s much more to come from this vocal phenom. “Dance Away My Broken Heart” will be featured on her debut EP, I‘m Good, set to be released on Sept. 7.
