The Battle Rounds on “The Voice” have finally started and #TeamBlake came out of the gate with a bang.

Blake Shelton paired 15-year-old Brennley Brown versus the experienced Lauren Duski and worse versions Little Big Town’s “Better Man” have been performed. This tune was not meant to be a duet, so the difference in their vocals and registers made it hard to stomach at times. Remember, Taylor Swift wrote this song years ago and then sent it to the reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year because of their harmonies.

Both singers had moments of glory, but ultimately Duski was one the one who walked away being compared to LBT’s Karen Fairchild.

In a moment of TV sensationalism, Brown was stolen away by #TeamGwen and Gwen Stefani.
