Blake Shelton’s newest single, “God’s Country,” is an anthemic ode to the joy and satisfaction that is a simple life in the country. But Blake isn’t just talking the talk. It looks like the Oklahoma country boy is walking the walk…or driving the tractor, actually, to create a little Garden of Eden for his sweet Gwen Stefani.

On Instagram, Blake shared a photo taken from the vantage point of his tractor seat. In the caption, he explained, “Getting @gwenstefani wildflower garden spot ready in #godscountry.”

Gwen saw the post, of course, and immediately thanked her lucky stars for that handy fella who stole her heart. She tweeted back, “ @blakeshelton how am I so blessed ??? #iloveyou #GodsCountry #Congratsonnumberone ! #congratstomeonubeingmine gx #bestboyfriendever.”

Not everything went smoothly over the weekend for Blake though, who was spending as much time digging in the dirt as he possibly could while on a much-deserved break from touring and filming “The Voice.”
In another post, the lanky singer showed a picture of the singular fungus he found while out hunting for morel mushrooms. He describes the expedition saying, “Well…7 wasp stings, 1 rattlesnake bite, hypothermia, heat exhaustion and a hyperextended scrotum I finally found one!!!!! #godscountry #morrellmushroom.”

Blake will be out of harm’s way when ”The Voice” returns with The Battles, Part 2 on April 1. Sort of. As the most winning coach in the history, he does have a target on his back, but fellow coach Kelly Clarkson is gunning for her third win in a row, and newcomer John Legend is looking for his first taste of victory. And Adam Levine? He may seem like the underdog, but don’t discount his strategy. He’s a fierce competitor.
