From the outside looking in, it would seem that celebrity comes with a lot of perks. And while celebs would probably agree, the sacrifices they make can sometimes make that debatable. But once in a while, the draw to do something that is beyond cool, that is utterly epic, is too much to resist, even for one of the most humble guys in country music, Chris Stapleton.
The self admitted Game of Thrones addict appeared in the most recent episode of the medieval fantasy drama as a Wildling who, in the course of the show, dies and is invoked into the White Walker world of The Others.
The cameo is brief, and thanks to wife Morgane, fans who may have missed the moment can see it on her Instagram page. “Episode 3….My wildling is a white walker #got, “she wrote in the post with the video.
Now, for anyone wondering if Chris is trading in his songs for scripts, he made it abundantly clear in Rolling Stone, that he is merely a fan of the show who got a great opportunity, much like pop singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. He told the site, “I was like, you know, I would gladly fly to wherever in the world just to be a small part and get to watch that show going down. They were gracious enough to let me come participate that way.”

In addition to the Grammy winning singer-songwriter, the GOT crew welcomed his bass player, J.T. Cure, and tour manager to their Northern Ireland shoot. “Winterfell 4.28.2019,” Chris captioned the photo with his band members all decked out in costume.
Country stars have made cool cameos in TV shows and movies for years, but we do know of one other singer-songwriter who may not have had her television fantasy fulfilled yet. Carrie Underwood has often said she would love to have a cameo on The Walking Dead. We’re here for that.
