Brad Paisley is one of the best guitarists in any of genre of music and his impressive, yet subtle talents were on display before Game 2 of the World Series singing the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium.

Before the game, Paisley tweeted, “Thrilled and honored to sing our National Anthem at game 2 of the #worldseries tomorrow, @Dodgers vs @astros. Plaaaaay Ballllllllll.” He also met ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw.

Though he didn’t yell the classic line, “play ball!” after his performance, he could’ve. Also, it was a rare appearance for Paisley without his image-defining white cowboy hat.

The Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to even the series at 1-1. The game went into 11 innings and saw eight combined home runs, the most ever for a World Series game.

Before the game Paisley thought he was going to get to bat, but according to the box score it didn’t happen.
