It’s hard to not feel lonely, bored or anxious during these times of sheltering safely at home. Leave it to Brad Paisley to find a way to unite country music fans and beer drinkers, while supporting those on the front lines, with his newest song, “No I in Beer.”

Country music fans know that not much that can lift their spirits like an uptempo anthem heralding the virtue of beer. Heck, even tea totalers can appreciate the message in “No I in Beer” because it’s less about getting schnockered and more about leaning on each other during challenging times. However, Brad wrote this smile-inducing romp in 2018, well before a national pandemic had most of the country hunkering down at home.

“People are utilizing this time to connect and to feel solidarity as human beings,” Brad explains. “This song wasn’t written for this specific moment we are all facing, but it takes on a new meaning for me when I hear it now.”

“No I in Beer” is a refreshing gulp of goodness at a time when we’re all feeling like our emotional tanks have been emptied. Between self-isolation and social distancing, most people are hankering for an in person happy hour, but Brad mindfully, yet light-heartedly, reminds us the this is all temporary and it’s in the best interest of the entire planet.

He goes on to say, “If we’ve ever felt unified as Americans, as citizens of the world, it’s in the fact that nobody loves what we’re going through, but everybody’s willing to do what we have to do. One of those things is, let’s be a team.”
