Have Mercy! Brett Young tied the knot with fiancée Taylor Mills on Saturday (Nov. 3) at Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California.
According to People, the couple hosted about 200 family and friends at the private ceremony where country singers Luke Combs and Lee Brice performed. Gavin DeGraw also took the stage to perform for the couple, singing “More Than Anyone.”
“We chose people in terms of performers that are really important to us and are close friends,” Mills told People.
“If everybody in the country music family could’ve been there, we would’ve asked them all to sing!” added Brett.
Taylor sported a custom wedding gown created by Justin Alexander, while Brett was decked out in a tuxedo by J. Hilburn. The ceremony was officiated by Brett’s father, Brad, and his manager.
“Being able to be best friends with a person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with is the most important thing,” Brett told the magazine. “She has a very pure, kind heart.”
At the reception, guests dined on steak, chicken and Southern fare, as well as two wedding cakes —a vanilla cake with banana-cream filling and a second vanilla cake with strawberry filling.
After the couple takes a break for their honeymoon, Brett will be gearing up to release his sophomore album, Ticket to L.A., on Dec. 7 and will be vying for new artist of the year award at the CMA Awards on Nov. 14.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
