TJ and John Osborne have always wanted to wear medals during the ASCAP Awards and during the 54th Annual ASCAP Awards, not only did the Brothers Osborne get to wear medals, they were awarded Song of the Year.

Stay A Little Longer” (off their debut album, Pawn Shop) was the duo’s first No. 1 hit and is certified Gold.

The Brothers performed the song for a packed house at the Ryman Auditorium, but told us about how much the honor means to them before the show.

“It’s one of those things, you always have your eyes set on the big things, but it always seems like it’s never going to happen. When you finally get to live those moments it’s very surreal, very cool.”

ASCAP’s mission is to license and promote the music of its members and foreign affiliates, obtain fair compensation for the public performance of their works and to distribute the royalties that it collects based upon those performances. To learn more, visit ASCAP.com.
