Brothers Osborne have released their new single “I Don’t Remember Me (Before You)” to country radio. The sentimental ballad follows previous single “Shoot Me Straight,” both featured on their sophomore album “Port Saint Joe,” which dropped earlier this year.

Written by John and TJ Osborne with Shane McAnally and Matt Dragstrem, “I Don’t Remember Me (Before You)” tells the tale of a man looking back on the boy he used to be before he met his current flame. The new tune showcases the duo’s reflective side with TJ on lead vocals and John’s stirring guitar parts.

“I heard I was a wild one / Acting like a child some / But I really don’t recall / Heard I was a fast one / Always was the last one / Waitin’ for the other shoe to fall / I’ve seen pictures / And I’ve heard stories / ‘Bout the boy I used to be / But I don’t remember me,” they sing on the chorus.

“Port Saint Joe is a sonic representation of who we’ve become not only as a band but as people,” John said ahead of the album’s release in April. “Every show we’ve ever played together is on this record. Every song we’ve ever written and every mile we’ve ever ridden has led to the making of this record. Imperfections and all.”

His brother, TJ, added that they aimed to make a record that would “reflect who we are in every way, and in the process we had the most enjoyable and memorable recording experience of our lives.”

The two-time reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year are nominated again in the Duo of the Year category at the upcoming 52nd Annual CMA Awards, which airs on ABC on Nov. 14. They are also nominated for Musical Event of the Year for their collaboration with Dierks Bentley on “Burning Man.”
