Carly Pearce’s “Hide The Wine” Video is Great Reminder to Drink Wine and Hide All the Empty Bottles

Last fall, Carly Pearce released her debut album, Every Little Thing, on the heels of her massively successful single of the same name. While “Every Little Thing” was easily one of the best country music songs of 2017 and the entire album was dangerously good– one song always stood out– “Hide The Wine.

The tune, written by Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey is a masterpiece in sass and now has a video to match it. The video features Pearce looking fabulous, but in the woods with the look of a high-dollar field party surrounding her. She’s alone but has scattered empty wine bottles throughout the forest, which prompts the old flame to embark on a scavenger hunt to find Pearce.

Of the song, Pearce said, “Everyone knows how much I love red wine, and I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it!” Carly said. “‘Hide The Wine’ brings me back to my bluegrass roots with its swampy, funky vibe and a little bit of attitude so I think it’s great for people to hear from me after the sadness of ‘Every Little Thing’ and ‘If My Name Was Whiskey.'”

Prior to the CMA Awards, we asked Pearce what she liked to eat on the road and she gave us the responsible and healthy answer of “Whole Foods,” which also prompted her to remind us that, “they’ve got wine, y’all.” And now it’s our favorite quote to go along with one of our favorite songs.
