Carly Pearce and Michael Ray Hit the Opry Stage For Duet Performance of Johnny and June’s “Jackson”


Since Michael Ray and Carly Pearce have announced that they were a couple, we’ve been able to share special relationship moments with couple thanks to social media.

Tuesday night, Michael and Carly added another moment to their journey. The two singers got to share the Grand Ole Opry stage for a duet performance of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash’s “Jackson.”

“Hotter than a pepper Sprout, / We’ve been talkin’ ’bout Jackson, ever since the fire went / I’m goin’ to Jackson, and that’s a fact / Yeah, we’re goin’ to Jackson, ain’t never comin’ back,” they sing in the clip.

At the end of the performance, Carly said “Y’all give it up for Michael Ray.” Michael returned the acknowledgement exclaiming, “Carly Pearce” and the two sealed the performance with a kiss.

Both Carly and Michael shared that kiss on Instagram.

“Found me a man who loves the #opry as much as I do AND got to sing “Jackson” with him tonight in the circle. 😭❤️ HEART. EXPLOSION.,” Carly wrote. While Michael said, “Tonight I Played my favorite stage with my favorite woman. Thank you @opry for this moment tonight. @carlypearce #opry.
