Carrie Underwood is set to perform on Tuesday evening (Oct. 9) at the 2018 American Music Awards. In a new photo posted to Instagram, the singer reveals that she’ll be singing a song called “Spinning Bottles,” which is featured on her latest album “Cry Pretty.”
“Rehearsing for the @AMAs. Tune in LIVE at 8/7c on Tuesday on @ABCnetwork. #SpinningBottles #AMAs” she captions the image.
The image taken at rehearsal shows Carrie deeply focused as she rehearses the song. Her baby bump is prominent in the photo as she’s wearing jeans and a denim top. The denim-on-denim look got approval from one of Carrie’s biggest fans — husband (and Canadian) Mike Fisher.
Mike’s response? “Love the Canadian tuxedo babe!!” he quips on Twitter.

Interestingly, it seems not many fans realize that a Canadian tuxedo is actually a clothing style.
“In all these years I never knew a jeans shirt and blue jeans is called a Canadian tuxedo,” one fan writes. “I think I need to get out more.”
Another fan pokes fun at Mike, as apparently he’s wearing “the other version” of a Canadian tuxedo in his Twitter profile picture — plaid flannel and jeans.
Whether Mike was egging his beautiful bride on or not, the comment received a mostly positive reaction with some even hinting that Carrie may make the Canadian tuxedo the fashion trend of 2018. “She could put a brown paper bag in style,” another fan comments.
The 2018 AMAs will be broadcast live on Oct. 9 on ABC. Carrie penned “Spinning Bottles” with her co-producer, David Garcia, and Hillary Lindsey. Whether or not she decides to wear a Canadian tuxedo as her costume for the evening remains to be seen.
