Savvy country stars often keep an eye out for emerging talent that they can take on the road with them for big tours. Fortunately for Carrie Underwood, it looks like she already has a rising star on the road with her—son Isaiah.

Carrie shared a photo on her socials of her little man on stage clutching the microphone while Mom knelt down next to him. And from the expression of enthusiasm on her face, he must have done a pretty good job.

In the caption, Carrie says, “Had some extra special help with soundcheck today, so tonight’s show is bound to sound amazing!!!”

The award-winning country star has previously mentioned that by the time she takes the stage in the evening, Isaiah and baby brother Jacob are usually getting ready for bed, however, Isaiah has seen bits of Runaway June and Maddie & Tae’s sets and has at least seen Mom’s opening. Maybe that’s been enough to whet the four-year-old’s appetite for his own career in music somewhere down the road.

Isaiah also makes an appearance in Carrie’s new “Southbound” video, and that could be an indicator of his interest in the spotlight. As Carrie makes her way to the stage from the dressing room, Isaiah can be seen following in her footsteps with his protective headset on. Of course, he’s following her in other footsteps as well. Wait, no. He’s actually chasing her with a water cannon.

For now, that may be way more fun.
