Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley Takes Golfing To A Whole New Level In Web Series “The Hook”

If you are one-third of the multi-platinum country trio Lady Antebellum and find yourself with a little downtime from your You Look Good World Tour, what do you do? Well, If you’re Charles Kelley, you play golf.

The 36-year-old singer and avid golfer, teamed up with Topgolf to create his own eight-episode golf series, “The Hook With Charles Kelley.” The concept of the show is for Charles and his brother, John, to travel around the country playing golf. It’s a good gig if you can get it.

“Growing up in Augusta, Ga., golf came second nature to me, and now it’s something I look forward to when I’m not on the road or spending time with family,” said Kelley. “I always have a blast at Topgolf, so having my golfing buddies like Darius sign up to come out with me for this is going to be a really good time.

“No matter how long I’ve played this game, there is one person I cannot seem to beat,” the Georgia native says in the opening of the show. That one person is his older brother and former PGA professional, John Kelley.

They younger Kelley will be inviting some of his celebrity friends to join him for some fun, sun, golf and music, but also to help him take down his brother on the green. Did we mention there will be some friendly wagers taking place in each of the episodes.

Already six episodes in, the show has seen celebrity guests such as Darius Rucker, Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and fiancé Shawn Booth, Josh Kelley, Hope Solo and Eric Decker. Kelley’s latest victim…er, guest, is radio DJ Bobby Bones.
