Charles Kelley is currently on his solo tour to promote his debut solo album, The Driver, but he’s sticking to his Lady Antebellum roots even more than expected. Charles often sings a few Lady A classics during his tour sets, but he’s only brought out Hillary Scott once to join him on stage (so far). Two-thirds of Lady A was joined by good friend and former tourmate Kelsea Ballerini, too.
The trio performed at the Troubador in LA and after performing Lady Antebellum’s biggest hit, “Need You Now,” they transitioned into Rod Stewart’s “Missing You” pretty flawlessly.
We love Kelley’s solo stuff and Dave Haywood, but this trio was pretty great. So casual.
After the show, Hillary posted the moment to Instagram saying, “so many things were right about the world.”
Also, last summer when Lady Antebellum they were taking a break, we didn’t believe them and honestly assumed they might not ever come back. However, they have been writing together and are performing at the Kentucky Derby together. Our hearts are starting to believe.
