The Academy of Country Music has selected Chris Janson to be the closing performer at the 53rd Annual ACM Awards on Sunday, April 15.

The Missouri natives electric live performances have caught the eye of the Academy, honoring him with the coveted spot. Chris will bring his uptempo crowd-rocking song  “Redneck Life”—from his latest album, Everybody—to the ACM stage. The 32-year-old singer is sure to get country’s biggest stars out of their seats and up on their feet.

“I am extremely excited to play on this year’s ACM Awards show,” Chris said. “I’ll be playing a crowd favorite from my Everybody album, titled “Redneck Life.” It’s a true story; it’s rowdy and it’s gonna be a blast to play live.”

“Yeah. I didn’t choose the redneck life, the redneck life chose me. What you see is what you get and what you get is what you see. I’d take a Mountain Dew over a silver spoon any old day of the week.
I didn’t choose the redneck life the redneck life chose me,” Chris sings in the chorus of the rockin’ tune.

In addition, Sugarland has been added to the list of performers for the big night.

Previously announced performers include Kelly Clarkson, Alan Jackson, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Jon Pardi, Lauren Alania, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Midland, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Bebe Rexha, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Brett Young.
