Chris Stapleton is ending 2015 a little different than he started it– on the absolute top of the world. After 13 million viewers tuned in to the 49th Annual CMA Awards to watch his performance with Justin Timberlake, Stapleton swept the awards show, was honored at the CMT Artists of the Year show and garnered four GRAMMY nominations at the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

To throw a little bit of icing on the cake, Stapleton took off to New York City to play his soulful, mellow ballad, “Sometimes I Cry” for Jimmy Fallon and “The Tonight Show.”

After his performance, Fallon said Stapleton, “melted the TV.” And our faces.
