The first round of performers for the CMT Music Awards have been announced and they include some of country's biggest stars. 

The first round of performers for the CMT Music Awards have been announced and they include some of country’s biggest stars.

Blake SheltonChris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt will take the stage at this year’s show, taking place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 6 at 8 p.m. ET/ PT.

The Video of the Year category features pop artists, as Justin Timberlake for “Say Something,” featuring Chris Stapleton, and Bebe Rexha for “Meant To Be,” with Florida Georgia Line. This year is the first time pop artists have been featured in the category.

Carrie Underwood, who holds the title of most CMT Music Awards wins with 17, Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean lead the pack with four nominations each.

Little Big Town will join these artists and more on Wednesday evening as hosts of the show.
