Team USA is headed to Rio de Janeiro with familiar faces in tow– Michael Phelps, Gabby Douglas, the women’s soccer team, but what if some of our favorite country music stars headed south to try to bring home a few golds for the Stars and Stripes?

8 Country Music Stars We Want to See on Team USA in Rio de Janeiro:

1. Carrie Underwood // Track and Field

Are we sure she isn’t already on Team USA? She’s been training for this for years.

2/3. Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman // Synchronized Swimming
These two have been insync for most of their lives now. It’s time they coordinated for their country.

4. Luke Bryan // Archery
If Luke can cut out some of the fishin’ and lovin’ every day and focus on the bullseye, there’s no stopping him.

5. Jake Owen // Golf
With Jake’s pal Jordan Spieth dropping out of the Games, we need his golf prowess more than ever.

6. Charles Kelley // Golf
Yep, we need him too. Charles grew up down the road from Augusta National, so he’s a perfect candidate.

7. Kacey Musgraves // Horses
Kacey’s new BFF is fond of horsin’ around, but together the two of them could really do some work in Rio.

And, she’s already got a jersey.

8. Thomas Rhett // Basketball
The effort is there and with a little coaching, he could some see some floor action.
