Cracker Barrel Goes All Out For CMA Fest

There is no place like Cracker Barrel. Where else can you rock on a country porch while waiting to be seated for a hot home-cooked meal? During the recent CMA Music Festival, the restaurant put their patented Southern charm on display sponsoring a karaoke contest with Kelsea Ballerini, giving free Lyft rides with country music stars to their restaurant, and launching a charity powered by rocking chairs. Not to mention, they sponsored three free nights of big-time shows featuring acts like Big & Rich, Kellie Pickler, Dan + Shay and RaeLynn.

Friday evening Kelsea gave fans the chance to show their stuff for her “LEGENDS” of Country Karaoke Contest powered by Cracker Barrel. Those who signed up on Thursday were given one of Kelsea’s favorite songs from a legendary country artist on the Country Roads stage. With so many stars performing around Nashville, who wouldn’t want to join them onstage and win prizes? It was a fantastic opportunity to perform and potentially get discovered.

All three contestants received prizes with the top prize of $500 gift card and $100 to Cracker Barrel going to the winner. The entire Country Roads Stage audience received a free download of her new single “LEGENDS,” which released June 7th and a free Lyft ride thanks to the good people at Cracker Barrel.

But, the rides didn’t stop there. Cracker Barrel teamed up with ride-share company Lyft for the rest of the weekend to provide free rides to and from local Cracker Barrel stores to bring festival goers a ‘home-away-from-home’ experience. Some lucky Lyft riders were surprised by Granger Smith who would accompany them to Cracker Barrel and present them with gift baskets once they arrived.

On Saturday evening, Warner Sound brought top performances on Saturday night to Cracker Barrel’s Country Roads Stage at CMA Music Fest with Dan + Shay, Hunter Hayes, RaeLynn, High Valley, and newcomers Cale Dodds, Ryan Kinder and Bailey Bryan.

In partnership with Cracker Barrel, artist RaeLynn, whose husband is an active U.S. serviceman, hosted a special on-stage surprise with Cracker Barrel’s flagship nonprofit partner Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families, presented retired Army Sergeant First Class Eric Long and his family with keys to their new mortgage-free home, as the audience celebrated Sergeant Long’s service. Cracker Barrel also surprised the family with its iconic rockers to adorn the new home’s front porch.

Cracker Barrel spent time within the festival, launching Rock-A-Thon, a three-day event that features 644 Cracker Barrel rocking chairs, highlighting their nationwide store count, placed throughout downtown for fans to rock for a good cause. If festival goers collectively rocked 150,000 times, Cracker Barrel will donate $15,000 to the CMA Foundation. Fans could rest and rock well knowing that they were supporting a great foundation.
