Craig Campbell told us all about his afterlife plans when he sang, “Outskirts of Heaven” on the “Today Show.”

The soulful song is all about Southern roots, faith and the afterlife. But Campbell’s main focus is that when he dies, he wants to live on the outskirts of heaven where he can fish and walk down dirt roads. With a strong classic country feel, Campbell says that instead of living in a mansion in heaven, he’d rather live in a farm house with acreage.

The single was co-written by Campbell and Dave Turnbull and is expected to be on his next album, which he’s currently working on.

Campbell also acknowledged in the interview that he’s headed out on his first USO tour and will make stops in Washington and Florida.
