Fresh off of receiving his first ACM Awards nomination for New Male Vocalist, Devin Dawson made the trek to Los Angeles for his first appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Dressed in his signature all black ensemble, Devin belted out the lyrics to his current single, “All On Me,” with a laid back style.
“You got my number you can call on me / If you’re in trouble put the fall on me / When you’re mad you can take it out on me / When it don’t add up you can count on me / When you’re low come get high on me / Make it slow take your time on me,” he sings in the chorus.
Following his performance, Devin got a major surprise from the host herself.
“I have a surprise for you,” Ellen said. “This is a really, really great song. It’s so good that it’s gone Gold.” With that news, the California native received his first Gold plaque.
Devin’s big break came earlier this year with the release of his debut album Dark Horse. He is currently out on the road with Brett Eldredge as part of The Long Way Tour.
In addition, Devin joined the Nashville Ballet for their 2018 Ballet Ball paying tribute to music icon Johnny Cash.
