Hearing Dierks Bentley and Elle King talk about each other is a fun thing. The GRAMMY-nominated pair (for their No. 1 single, “Different For Girls“) genuinely care for each other, but they both can dish it and take it.

Taking a step back from the fun, sarcastic side of their relationship, Elle recently left a note for Dierks on Instagram that us being all cliche and saying #friendshipgoals.
Elle shared, “… to step back and think about the kind of person who not only invites a friend up to sing their duet at their sold out arena show, but in the middle of the set let’s them sing their OWN song is something that is beyond my comprehension. To say that you are someone I aspire to be is an understatement. The respect I have for you is not something I can put into words, but the love…that’s measured in the trillions. Thank you for not only giving me a glimpse into my dream world…but letting me live in it. I wouldn’t want to be a part of country without you. I love you from the deepest parts of my heart and soul dear friend, I am so unbelievably proud of you.”
She should be a songwriter.
