In celebration of a triumphant 50 years of marriage, country icon Dolly Parton and husband Carl Dean renewed their vows during a private ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

“If I had it to do all over, I’d do it all over again, and we did,” Dolly said in a press release. “I’m dragging him kicking and screaming into the next 50 years. Wish us luck. In all honesty, the only way I was able to get Carl to do any of this in the first place was that it was a great opportunity for us to raise money for some very worthy causes.”

Dolly for president, am I right?

Carl, a man who, despite his wife’s success, has managed to stay out of the spotlight for years, will soon be seen by all. In addition to having his photograph taken, Carl has also agreed to do his first interview, where he will be answering fan-submitted questions.

The special interview will soon be released to coincide with the photos.

“My first thought was I’m gonna marry that girl,” said Carl said when recalling the first time saw Dolly at the Wishy Washy Laundromat. “My second thought was, Lord she’s good lookin’. And that was the day my life began. I wouldn’t trade the last 50 years for nothing on this earth.”

All I can say is, “#RelationshipGoals.”
