When it comes to icons in country music, it’s hard to imagine any that encompasses and embraces the title as much as Dolly Parton. The incomparably talented singer, songwriter and actress, and passionate philanthropist, can and does do it all, including posing for the quintessential man’s magazine, Playboy, back in 1978. And she’s ready to again.

Dolly will celebrate her 75th birthday in 2021 and she’s making it well known that she wouldn’t mind recreating that photo shoot that came complete with Playboy bunny corseted teddy, ears, cuffs, bow tie and fluffy cotton tail.

During an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, the entertainer dropped pearls like, “I count my blessings more than I count my money,” and credited her youthful appearance to “good lighting, good make-up and good doctors…and a good attitude don’t hurt any either.” Then she also confessed her desire to grace the quarterly magazine’s cover again.

To avoid asking the queen directly about her age, Interviewer Tom Steinfort instead asked about retirement and she shuddered at the notion. “I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” she giggled. “I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot if they’d go for it, I don’t know if they will, if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.” (Dolly turns 75 on January 19, 2021)
