Eric Church is coming to a city near you. The “Springsteen” singer took to social media to share a video with his fans, announcing his Double Down Tour in 2019.
“Hey guys, so let’s talk,” Eric says in the video. “Desperate Man is done. I’m very proud of the album. Now it’s time to play it live. As we were thinking about this tour, and where do we go from where we’ve been, I thought about the Holdin’ My Own Tour. I thought about how special it was and how spiritual it was. I laid awake many nights in my bed thinking about how do you go from over 3 hours of music, where I’m giving everything I got and you’re giving everything you’ve got. Where do we go next? Where do we go from the Holdin’ My Own Tour? I think we double down. Not one unique show in each city but two unique shows in each city. Not 3 hours but 6 hours. We double down. Not Friday OR Saturday, but Friday AND Saturday. And we take over your F—- city.”
Eric revealed that his fan club, the Church Choir, gets first crack at buying tickets for the show, but he’s ready to get out and see all his fans.
“It’s going to be unique and it’s going to be epic. And I can’t wait to see you on the road,” Eric said.
The 19 city trek will kick off on January 18 in Omaha, Nebraska taking Eric to cities that include Dallas, Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. Eric only has one show in Nashville, however it will be held at Nissan Stadium. The venue doubles the capacity held at Bridgestone Arena for his Holdin My Own Tour in 2017.
Tickets will be sold during Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan presale. All fans interested in priority access to tickets should get verified. Registration begins Friday, Sept. 21 at 10 am CT.
