Faith Hill is heading to reality television. The “Breathe” singer will be joining RuPaul and Drew Barrymore as a judge on the new reality competition series, “The World’s Best.” Late night talk show host James Corden is tapped to host the show.
Faith, one of the top-selling country female artists, brings along over 25 years experience in the music biz, with several awards including five Grammy Awards, 12 ACM Awards and 3 CMA Awards.
CBS calls the series a “first-of-its-kind global talent competition that features acts from every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet. The acts not only have to impress American judges, but will also need to break through the “wall of the world,” featuring 50 of the world’s most accomplished experts from every field of entertainment. Only one act will ultimately be crowned THE WORLD’S BEST.”
Mark Burnett (“Survivor,” “The Voice”), and Mike Darnell (“American Idol”) are the producers behind the new competition series with James Corden also serving as Executive Producer.
“James Corden is at the top of his game, and there is no one better to host this ultimate international competition series,” said Mark. “This groundbreaking series is like the Olympics of talent shows and needed the perfect talent combination. Mike and I are thrilled Drew, Faith and RuPaul are all on board. We can’t wait to see the fun they have together.”
The 10-episode series will premiere in 2019 on CBS.
