It’s that time of year again. The time when we can all marvel at the amount of money country stars earn on a yearly basis. The amount of money that most of us will never see in a lifetime.

However, it’s not without grit, determination and hard work that these country stars earn every penny they make. In the latest Forbes list of top country earners, it’s not surprise to see Luke Bryan topping the list for a second consecutive year. It may be a surprise to see some other country stars make the list, but we have to remember their earnings are not from country music alone.  Earnings include sponsorships, endorsements, television gigs and more.

However, it was a surprise to see Lil Nas X on the country list, considering he’s not country. But his mega-hit “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus was a crossover hit, breaking records everywhere, including 19 weeks at the top of the Billboard singles charts. So with that said, the rapper comes in at No. 18 on the list of top country earners.

Forbes list of the genre’s top earners measures estimated pretax earnings from June 1, 2018, through June 1, 2019.
