Gabby Barrett is no stranger to the pressure of being on stage with country superstar Luke Bryan. After all, the “American Idol” contestant took the stage with Luke during “American Idol,” performing Luke’s hit “Most People are Good.”

While Luke made a stop at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh for his What Makes You Country Tour XL Stadium Sized, he surprised the crowd by bringing out the hometown favorite and third place finisher.

“I have a special guest in the house tonight,” Luke said from the stage. “I had the opportunity to watch her be a finalist on ‘American Idol’ all year this year. She’s a hometown girl and she wanted to be singing tonight so I’m going to bring her out right now. Y’all give it up for Miss Gabby Barrett.”

Luke and Gabby picked up right where they left off, with an encore performance of “Most People are Good.” Gabby, decked out in a black sequined mini-dress and thigh high boots kicked the song off, with Luke, decked out on his classic denim look, picked up the second verse before joining together on the chorus.

Luke then turned the stage over to Gabby for a solo performance. “Ya’ll mind if I just let Gabby have have the whole damn stage for about three minutes,” Luke said getting the crowds approval. As Luke left the stage, Gabby took over singing a solo version of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.”

Apropos for a girl from Pittsburgh now commanding the stage at Heinz Field in front of over 50,000 fans.

Gabby took to Instagram to thank the fans and Luke for allowing her to be part of the show.

“Heinz Field, THATS MY KINDA NIGHT! 😍 A crowd of 50,000. We did a duet, then he let me do a song by myself. Just me and y’all,” she wrote. “Thank you so much ❤ @lukebryan & thank you so much to everyone for making my dreams come true. I have no more words.”
