“Well, It was bound to happen, one night it did.” With the release of their good-timing collaboration, “Dive Bar,” Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton were destined to hit the stage together for a lucky group of fans and it turns out that Boise, Idaho was the fortunate stop.
Garth kicked off the song with his band and no sign of Blake, which doesn’t seem to have dampened the enthusiasm of the massive crowd. However, just as it happens in the recording, Blake ambled out on stage as the second verse starts, making his way to Garth with a big grin on his face.
Crossing the stage together, the pair made sure that everyone felt connected and got a great photo op during the performance before landing back at center stage. And as the applause continued, Blake exclaimed from the stage, “I’ve got a single with Garth Brooks!”
In typical fashion, Blake also had to embrace his pal and give him a sloppy, wet smooch on the face, as well.
There’s been no word on whether the performance was filmed for use in a music video for the song, however, Garth has said that there will be a video and that it will utilize production that he has never used before.
Although no other performances featuring Blake and Garth together have been announced, fans are hopeful that lightning could strike twice.
Perhaps at the CMA Awards in November?
