Garth Brooks Writes New SEC Football Anthem for CBS and It Is “Pure Adrenaline”

Saturdays in the Fall are pretty special for college football fans. And for SEC fans, Saturday at 2:30 (CST) on CBS is super special, as it’s the primetime SEC football game of the week.

And this year, Garth Brooks has penned a new opening tune for the game.

“Pure Adrenaline,” was penned just for the SEC and CBS and will feature a new video each and every week to reflect the weekly matchup.

This song, of course, joins the likes of other football theme song classics like “Waitin’ All Day on Sunday Night” and “All My Rowdy Friends/Monday Night Football.”

Garth revealed the new tune during a Facebook live stream saying, “It’s all going to be done very fast paced, intercut with football footage — which is what we’re all tuning in to see anyway.” He also went on to remind everyone that he’s still very much an Oklahoma State Cowboy, “I’m an Oklahoma State-r. I bleed orange. But I feel lucky to be a part of the SEC. We’ll be seeing the greatest games in the greatest conference.”

The song will be featured on Garth’s new album and he says it’s the “most Garth thing ever.”
