“Sleepover,” the latest single from country music singer-songwriter and actress Jamie Lynn Spears is out on iTunes and Spotify today.
“‘Sleepover’ has really set the tone for my next chapter as an artist,” Spears in a press release. “Sometimes I forget that I’m only 25 years old so I wanted to embrace that. We as women can be mothers and wives, but we can still be confident, sexy and flirty. ‘Sleepover’ really helped me understand that side of me more.”
The ultra-catchy song, which tells the story of wanting an old-fashioned relationship and taking it slow, was written by Liz Rose, Tina Parol, Corey Crowder (writers who have penned songs for artists like Taylor Swift) and Spears herself.
As of late, Spears has had success with the song she wrote for Jana Kramer, “I Got The Boy.” She’ll also star in a one-hour special on TLC June 26th at 10/9c. where she’ll take viewers into her life as a mother and songwriter.
