Leave it to Jamie O’Neal to give the world a lift when it needs it most. As the country finds itself battling the coronavirus pandemic amidst racial protests, Jamie has released an uplifting single, “The World Goes On,” giving the world a much needed boost.
Jamie, best known for No. 1 hits “There is No Arizona” and “When I Think About Angels,” is sharing the exclusive premiere of her brand new lyric video for “The World Goes On” with One Country readers, sure to add a little radiance and joy to our daily lives.

Written by O‘Neal, Shaye Smith and Ilya Toshinsky, the encouraging tune is a reminder that no matter how bad things get, we need to pick ourselves up and be strong, because things will get better and the world will go on.
“Cause the world goes on / and the sun keeps coming up / people keep fallin’ in love / and the radio keeps playin’ your song / so you turn it up roll the windows down / sing along and make it loud / and the world goes on,” Jamie sings in the chorus.
In addition to her new single and lyric video, Jamie will be releasing a brand new album, Now and Then, this fall. The highly anticipated album will include re-imagined versions of past hits including, “There Is No Arizona” and “Somebody’s Hero” as well as six brand new songs, including with “The World Goes On.”
