Two years after the tragic mass shooting at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Jason Aldean, who was on stage when shots rang out, has returned for his first full show in the City of Lights since that fateful night.

The December 6 show was part of Jason’s three-night Ride All Night Vegas residency at the Park MGM and Jason told the opening night crowd, “We got a lotta people in the crowd tonight who are family to us, so welcome out everybody. It’s good to be back in Las Vegas. This is our first show back, and make no mistake about it, we came back to blow it out for you tonight.'”

At one point during the concert, a young man in a wheelchair wearing a Route 91 Festival T- shirt was hoisted above the crowd and could be seen fist-pumping triumphantly and waving an American flag while Jason sang “Any Ol’ Barstool.”

Jason was joined in Vegas by wife Brittany, who was expecting their son Memphis and backstage at Route 91, his sister, Kasi, and brother-in-law, Chuck Wicks, as well as Dee Jay Silver and wife Jenna, whose baby boy was just a few rooms away from the Route 91 gunman the night of the shooting.

“Route 91 family, we love you! 💜,” Brittany wrote in her post. “Last night was so special… and emotional. We’re with you, we cry with you and celebrate life with you! We can’t wait for the next two nights here in Vegas”
