Congratulations are in order for Texas country star Jon Wolfe and his fiancée Amber Calderon. The couple tied the knot in a breathtaking outdoor wedding at the Barr Mansion in Austin, Texas on November 30.
Amber, a former Miss Austin USA and Miss San Antonio USA, wore a traditional custom Sherri Hill white satin wedding gown, embellished with a lace and pearls bodice and ending dramatically with a cathedral-length train. She also wore a jeweled tiara with a long veil and carried a mixed bouquet that included white poppies and blush roses. Jon was dapper in a classic dark tuxedo with bow tie.
Guests at the reception enjoyed a personalized cigar bar, photo booth and plenty of great music, including performances from Jon, members of his family and other guests.
“I’ve always been a fan of timeless, classic style and Barr Mansion was the perfect setting for what I envisioned for the biggest day of our lives,” Jon tells One Country. “I love an old fashioned, so I made sure that was on our signature cocktail menu. We had cigar rollers with custom bands that had our monogram emblazoned on them, and one of Austin’s favorite live bands, The Night Owls, kept the party going all night long. We drove off in a vintage, navy Rolls Royce. Somehow, the weather pulled through and it was a sunny day in the 70s in November… couldn’t have asked for a more magical evening!”
Jon and Amber’s seven-year relationship took an important turn when the couple were engaged on the beach in Cabo, Mexico in 2018. Not one to ignore a detail, the singer arranged a romantic dinner on the beach, then surprised his bride-to-be with two caballeros — gentlemen on horseback — escorting the custom-designed Jay Freedman engagement ring to their final destination.
The newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe honeymooned in snowy New York City, where they managed to fit in a number of seasonal sights, including Radio City Music Hall and the Rockets and the tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center.
Jon, who has opened for artists like George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Asleep at the Wheel and Merle Haggard, dropped his debut album, Almost Gone, in 2003. Since then, he has since released four studio albums and his first EP, Feels Like Country Music, which came out in June.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
