During a recent appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, Josh Turner took a moment out of the Circle to let his wife’s 98-year-old grandmother, Lois Cunningham, take center stage.
Lois sat down at the piano and Turner simply said, “she’s going to play when she’s ready.” And boy was she ready.
It was Lois’ first performance on the famed stage and her performance of “How Great Thou Art” ended in a standing ovation. Obviously.
Lois loved the crowd as much as they loved her, too. As she walks off the stage, she turns around and blows kisses to everyone in attendance.
We need more Lois in our lives.
